The county grounds with 3 grass courts have a long and interesting history, here we have taken a closer look at the late 60’s and early 70’s when the Nottingham Grass Tournament was in its pomp.
Many of the worlds greatest players came to Nottingham to play in this pre-wimbledon tournament. Billie Jean King, Virginia Wade, Jimmy Connors and Stan Smith to name just a few.
