Veneto Open

The Veneto Open is a women’s professional tennis tournament in Gaiba, Italy. Here’s some key info: 

• Level: It’s a WTA 125 tournament, which is a level below the main WTA tour.  
• Surface: It’s played on outdoor grass courts, making it unique as the only WTA 125 tournament on this surface. This also makes it good preparation for Wimbledon. 
• Prize Money: $115,000 
• Dates: Usually held in June. In 2024, it was June 16th to 23rd.  
• Venue: Tennis Club Gaiba 
• Nickname: Sometimes called “Gaibledon” by fans (a combination of Gaiba and Wimbledon).
