Profile
The 3 Grand Slam surfaces in Moliets. Tournaments, lessons and tennis clinics all year round. ATTENTION: opening of grass courts is subject to weather conditions. Tennis courts are made of natural grass. Grass is a supple surface that’s pleasant to play on. Unlike clay, it allows players to slide only slightly. The organic nature of the pitch makes it a variable, “living” surface, sensitive to humidity. The finer the grass, the faster the ball. In 2001, Wimbledon installed a thicker variety of grass (from 70% to 100% ryegrass). This type of turf requires less maintenance, so you can play on the same court with less downtime between matches.
