South Cowichan Lawn Tennis Club was founded in 1887. It is one of the oldest lawn tennis clubs in the world and the oldest lawn tennis club in Canada. The club received its BC Heritage Site designation in 1992, and celebrated its 100 years of operation in 1987. It has a total of 9 tennis courts, 7 of which are well-maintained grass courts plus 2 outdoor hard courts.
