Mirra Andreeva admits her goal is to win multiple Grand Slams and be remembered after she calls it a career, but also adds that she wants to be like Rafael Nadal and always stay “humble.”

The Russian, who celebrated her 18th birthday in April, has already achieved some very impressive things and records.

When Andreeva won Dubai in February, she became the youngest WTA 1000 champion since the format was introduced in 2009. The Russian followed that up by also winning another WTA 1000 title in Indian Wells. This year, she achieved a career-high ranking of No. 5 in the world.

However, even before an outstanding 2025, Andreeva did some great things as she won the silver medal with Diana Shnaider in the 2024 Paris Olympics. She also lifted the title in Iasi last year.

When it comes to Grand Slams, Andreeva reached the 2024 French Open semifinal and she was also a quarterfinalist at this year’s Wimbledon.

“Of course, as every other player, I want to win a couple Grand Slams, that would be great for me and honestly just want to stay and be me. I would say to be a player that everyone would remember for being curious on court, do whatever she wants on the court, interesting to watch, and always stay humble like Rafa said… So, I just want to be a player to remember on the Tour, and I hope that I can achieve that in my career,” the 18-year-old said in Macau.

During the weekend, Andreeva competed at the MGM Macau Tennis Masters, where she defeated Alexandra Eala 6-4 6-2. 

Andreeva’s focus now switches to the Australian Open, where she picked up back-to-back round-of-16 outings in 2024 and 2025.
