After Emma Navarro’s withdrawal, Jannik Sinner will make his US Open mixed doubles debut alongside one of the most decorated doubles player of the last decade. World no. 1 will join forces with Katerina Siniakova.
The Czech is the ten-time Major winner, former world no. 1 and the Olympic Games champion. The 29-year-old also brings a glittering resume in mixed doubles competition, the one Sinner lacks.
Katerina captured last year’s Olympic Games gold medal and the Wimbledon trophy a couple of weeks ago, her first in mixed doubles.

Jannik is in the draw with a high-profile name, and they should face Alexander Zverev and Belinda Bencic already on Tuesday. However, the Italian is preparing for a much more important duel on Monday, the upcoming Cincinnati Masters final against Carlos Alcaraz!
With little time to recover and travel to New York ahead of different court and conditions, there remains a possibility he could reconsider his place in the mixed doubles draw and focus on singles action.
If he does enter the Arthur Ashe Stadium or the Louis Armstrong Stadium on Tuesday, the Italian could hardly ask for a more seasoned partner. Siniakova’s proven success across the biggest stages could turn them into a dangerous duo.

After all, it’s a relaxed two-day job, with a winning team receiving $1 million! The potential of teaming with a player of Siniakova’s caliber adds extra intrigue to Sinner’s US Open journey.
However, the focus remains on the Cincinnati Masters final against his greatest rival and the singles title defense in New York. Jannik is defending 3000 ATP points in Cincinnati and the US Open, with Alcaraz seeking to pass him and take the ATP throne.
Sinner will chase his fourth consecutive hard-court Major title, having won two Australian Open and one US Open since the beginning of 2024.
