Profile
Welcome to the heritage tennis courts at Government House Tasmania. The three tennis courts and Pavilion at Government House were built in the late 1880s at the instigation of Governor Sir Robert Hamilton and Lady Hamilton. Over the years, the tennis courts have been regularly used by Governors, their families, and visitors. Two grass courts and one en-tout-cas court are maintained by a professional greenkeeper. In order to maintain the grass courts at a high standard, only one grass court is available for hire at a time.
The Government House tennis courts offer a unique tennis-playing experience. Please read through our booking terms prior to making your booking.
